Extend is a London residential construction company. We build substantial renovations, extensions, basements and lofts with clients and their design teams.

Built around substantial homes.
Extend has been building in London since 2014, for more than eleven years.
The projects on this site range from a Chiswick loft conversion to four-storey renovations, large rear extensions and new basements beneath existing London houses.
We work from architectural drawings and coordinate the construction with architects, interior designers, engineers and specialist makers. Their work is credited throughout the project pages.

The people
Led by James Quinn and Gary Winter.
James and Gary bring complementary experience across project management, building systems, structural construction and delivery on site.
James Quinn
James is a qualified mechanical engineer with more than 15 years' experience in construction and project management. He brings technical knowledge in building systems, programme control and financial oversight.
Gary Winter
Gary, formerly director of GW Basements, has extensive hands-on experience in basement excavation, structural works and site logistics. He leads site operations, with particular experience on complex and heritage-sensitive London properties.
The family
London Structures.
London Structures is Extend's sister company and undertakes the basement work on the projects shown here.
At Chipstead in Parsons Green, a small cellar became a basement of more than 90 square metres. Chiddingstone, Bowerdean, Daisy Lane and the later phase of Howard's Lane also brought the two companies together.
Extend completes the home above and around that structural work. Each case study separates the architect, interior designer, makers and construction team.

Where our work has appeared.
- The Independent featured Howard's Lane in Putney.
- Times Property featured the kitchen and dining area of a Grade II listed house we built in Notting Hill.
- Kitchens Bedrooms & Bathrooms Magazine made a glazed side-return extension we built in Queen's Park its feature property, Summer 2020.
