What we have built in Parsons Green
At Chipstead the old cellar was small and dark. In its place is a basement of more than 90 square metres, holding the family room, a glazed wine store and a reformer Pilates room, with a new rear staircase bringing daylight down from the garden. We dug it with our structural company, London Structures.
Above ground we built a side extension at ground-floor level and a pod at second floor. Malin & Lynn designed the renovation and the extensions, and Emma Milne Interiors was the interior designer.
The kitchen is by Humphrey Munson, built around a tall storage run known on site as dawn to dusk, its doors pocketing away on both sides. Humphrey Munson called it the project that WhatsApp built, and said the clients wanted a team with the experience to get past the technical problems that turn up on an extension and renovation of that size.
