Builders in Chelsea
Cambria stands just off the New King's Road, on the border of Fulham and Chelsea: a three-storey townhouse we extended at the rear and refurbished throughout.

Homes here
The Chelsea house on this site is a three-storey townhouse. The bricks for one Chelsea project were a special order, so that they matched the original building exactly. Bricks from the 1980s can be harder to find than Georgian or Victorian ones.
What we have built in Chelsea
Cambria has a rear extension at ground-floor level, designed by EMR Architecture, and it was finished in early 2017. The extension holds an open-plan kitchen and living space, with Crittall-style sliding doors that run the full height of the room and open onto the garden. EMR designed that garden too, and set out the way through to the garage. Inside the house, bespoke joinery and fitted storage were built into rooms throughout.
The rear sliding Crittall-style doors on one Chelsea terrace run over 2.8 metres tall and 6 metres wide. Glazing that size makes privacy awkward, so the curtain runs on a recessed track and tucks away to the side during the day.
