Lion House
Extension, new basement and full renovation of a Lion House in Parsons Green, with a Humphrey Munson kitchen and interiors by Malin & Lynn.
One of the Lion Houses of Parsons Green, renovated top to bottom for a busy family. London Structures dug and built the new basement level, Extend rebuilt and finished the house above it, and the two ran as one programme with one point of contact.
The kitchen by Humphrey Munson was designed around a tall storage run the clients call “dawn to dusk”, with pocketing doors on both sides so it disappears when it is not in use. Whole-house engineered oak flooring runs plank and herringbone through the principal rooms.
Humphrey Munson described it as “the project that WhatsApp built”: a client team spread across time zones, kept together by daily updates from site.
